Bunlar, kayaçların jeolojik yapısına bağlı olarak gelişen bozulma nedenleridir. Bir diğer bozulma nedeni ise dış etkilere bağlı nedenlerdir. Aynı kaya kütlesi içerisinde değişik katmanlar ve karakterler bulunabilmektedir. Su ve nem, fiziksel ve kimyasal bozulmalara neden olmaktadır.
